Day 1: Airport Arrival / Negombo

You will be welcomed by the Look Lanka Tours Representative in the Airport and then transfer to Negombo. Negombo Negombo is located approximately 37 km north of the commercial capital of Colombo in Sri Lanka. It is located at the mouth of the Negombo lagoon. The major beach resort in the West Coast is Negombo. The wide sandy beaches and the safe sea are the main attractions of Negombo and it is perfectly located within 7 km from the Bandaranaike International Airport in Katunayake, Sri Lanka. Day 2: Negombo / Dambulla

After breakfast proceed to Sigiriya. En route visit Pinnawala Elephants Orphanage. Pinnawala Elephants Orphanage. Here you will witness baby elephants being fed by a feeding bottle as soon as you enter. This is a lovely site for tourists. This elephant orphanage also houses the crippled elephants that can’t take care of themselves. Special mahouts are trained to take care of these ‘gentle giants’ who are sometimes orphaned. Witness as these beautiful creatures are fed at 9.15am, 13.15pm or when they are bathed – twice a day at 10.00am and 02.00pm respectively. This is an experience that is sure to leave you mesmerized for a life time! Sigiriya Rock Fortress. Sigiriya Rock Fortress, considered one of the amazing wonders of the Ancient World that truly needs to be witnessed to be believed. Located in the interior of Sri Lanka and The magnificent rock fortress of Sigiriya is visible for miles from all directions and dominates the surrounding plain. Sigiriya which was an ancient castle built by King Kasyapa during the 5th century AD is both a palace and fortress. The climb up Sigiriya is a challenge and takes about 90 minutes. You will pass by many peculiar parts of the fortress like The Mirror Wall, world famous Sigiriya Frescoes and the entrance to the Lion Gate. . Day 3: Dambulla / Kandy

Eraly in the morning Take the Hot Air Baloon tour. If you are lucky enough to visit the beautiful island of Sri Lanka then you should take the opportunity to see the wondrous sights from the air starting from Kandalama, Dambulla in the Cultural Triangle.Flying over the jungle you may see elephants roaming freely, variety of birds, wild life, water buffaloes standing in the paddy fields and monkeys swinging from the trees. the ride will start arount 6.00a., and you can land after the ride near about 8.00a.m.It will be an activity-filled joyride for you and your partner. Then after take the breakfast and Proceed to Kandy. Kandy. Historical records suggest that Kandy was first established by the King Wickramabahu (1357-1374 CE) near the Watapuluwa area, north of the present city, and it was named Senkadagalapura at the time, although some scholars suggest the name ‘Katubulu Nuwara’ may also have been used. The origin of the more popular name for the city, Senkadagala, could have been from a number of sources. These include naming it after a brahmin named Senkanda who lived in a cave near the city, after a queen of King Wickramabahu named Senkanda or after a coloured stone named Senkadagala. Day 4: Kandy / Ramboda / Nuwara Eliya

After having breakfast at the hotel in Kandy, you will then be transferred to Nuwara Eliya via Ramboda. Ramboda Falls. Is 109 m (358 ft) high and 11th highest waterfall in Sri Lanka and 729th highest waterfall in the world. It is situated in Pussellawa area, on the A5 highway at Ramboda Pass. It formed by Panna Oya which is a tributary of Kothmale Oya. Altitude of the falls is 945 m (3,100 ft) above sea level. Nuwara Eliya. You will be taken to visit a tea factory in Nuwara Eliya. Observe the beautiful green hills and lush valleys of this enchanting city. In the tea factory, you will be able to observe how tea is processed and graded for both local and foreign markets. Take in the wonderful aromas of fresh tea being prepared while you indulge in a hot cup of pure Ceylon tea while you are here. After that you will go on a city tour of Nuwara Eliya. Nuwara Eliya is known for its cool climate and amazing scenery by both locals and tourists as well. It is also home to one of the finest 18 hole golf courses in South Asia. This town plays a major role in the country’s tea industry at this is the main place where tea is produced. Sri Lanka’s tallest mountain the ‘Piduruthalagala’ (8282 feet) is also here. Day 5: Nuwara Eliya sightseeing tour and leisure

After breakfast leave for Nuwara Eliya sightseeing tour. Visit Horton Plains National Park Horton Plains National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site spread over the southern ridge of the central highlands in between Nuwara Eliya and Haputale. It consists of ecosystems such as Montane evergreen forests, grasslands, marshy lands and aquatic ecosystem. View a large number of endemic flora and fauna species in the cold misty hills and rolling valleys. Trek to World’s End, located at 2140 meters altitude on the southern edge of the plains. It is an escarpment that falls sheer 900 meters. The man-made modern irrigation reservoir contained within the national park of Udawalawe brings in a lovely view of the low lying plains of the southern Sri Lanka. Visit strawberry and milk farms When you think of strawberries in Sri Lanka, Nuwara Eliya is most probably the first place that comes to mind. N'Eliya's year-round cold climate is ideal for growing strawberries so you'll come across a multitude of vendors when you visit. Day 6: Nuwara Eliya / Ella (train ride) / Yala

After breakfast check out from hotel in the morning to catch the train to Ella. Ella. Welcome to everyone’s favorite hill-country village and the place to ease off the travel accelerator with a few leisurely days resting in your choice of some of the country’s best guesthouses. The views through Ella Gap are stunning, and on a clear night you can even spy the subtle glow of the Great Basses lighthouse on Sri Lanka’s south coast. Don’t be too laid-back though; definitely make time for easygoing walks through tea plantations to temples, waterfalls and viewpoints. Train Ride to Ella.. As you continue to rise, the tea plantations vanish completely to be replaced with forest.During this time, you get occasional views of deep ravines and valleys, the hillside plunging several meters into the deep green.During the journey, just like the scenery, the weather too keeps on changing. While at times you find clouds rolling under you, at the other ones you are surrounded by mist. The last hour of the journey happens to be the most spectacular. During this time you again descend back into tea country. The train goes across small hamlets and over bridges, until a time comes when the train takes a complete loop back underneath itself, about 30 metre lower down. Gradually you see tea plantations and woodlands interspersing, and valleys, ridges, mountains and waterfalls emerging on both the sides of the railway track until you reach Ella. Ella Rock. Ella Rock is one of the superb spots you must travel as you may be amazed in dramatic eyesight surrounded with the misty mountains. You are fortunate to grab the awesome views piercing the misty mountains at the dawning of the sun if you mark the beginning of your hiking as early as possible. The most commonest point to start your Ella rock hike is found at the Ella Railway Station. Day 7: Yala Safari / Mirssa

The most renowned wildlife sanctuary in Sri Lanka is the Yala National Park. The sanctuary is vast and it is the habitat of a massive amount of fascinating wildlife alongside plant life. You will get to see deer, peacocks, bears, wild boar, and herds of wild elephants. The national park is one of the best spots in the world where the elusive Sri Lankan leopard lives. There are also a lot of endemic birds and when you explore the amazing park in a jeep safari, you will be left astonished by its beauty. Day 8: Mirissa Whales Watching Tour

Early morning proceed to take the whales watching tour. It comes as no surprise that these amazing marine mammals migrate through the vast and fertile stretch from December to April during the annual breeding season. Mirissa itself is a quiet and peaceful coastal town boasting unspoiled beaches. Setting off from Mirissa there is upto 90% opportunity to come across Sperm whales and good pretty chance of sighting the Blue whale as well. There are believed to be around 26 different species of whales traversing this region and this includes the well loved dolphin. Day 9: Mirissa / Galle sightseeings / Hikkaduwa

After a delicious breakfast, proceed to Hikkaduwa.En route visit Galle city Galle. Is a major city in Sri Lanka, situated on the southwestern tip, 119 km from Colombo. Galle is the administrative capital of Southern Province, Sri Lanka and is the district capital of Galle District Galle was known as Gimhathiththa (although Ibn Batuta in the 14th century refers to it as Qali before the arrival of the Portuguese in the 16th century, when it was the main port on the island. Galle reached the height of its development in the 18th century, during the Dutch colonial period. Visit Galle Fort In the 18th century, the Dutch build their headquarters, Galle Fort, on the Sri Lankan coast. Nowadays, the old beautiful buildings are transformed into trendy shops, cafes, and restaurants. UNESCO named Galle Fort World Heritage, so the beauty of the building is being preserved. Proceed to Hikkaduwa and visit hikkaduwa beach This fun coastal town, 14 km away from Galle was the first (1960’s) of Sri Lanka’s beautiful beaches to be discovered by tourists. Snorkelling and diving in the clear waters are a major past-time along this stretch and is the most environmentally friendly way to see the colourful fish that dart around. The coral sanctuary found along the coast of Hikkaduwa is a large shallow body of water enclosed by a reef, decorated with layers of multi coloured corals, and is home to countless numbers of vibrantly coloured fish. Off the beach there is a collection of small islets surrounded by beautiful coral formations. Many species of fish and large turtles are found here. There are more than four different shipwrecks for diving enthusiasts to explore along with dive shops offering PADI courses and equipment. you can engage with snorkeling,surfing, scubba diving and many more activities here. Day 10: Hikkaduwa / Bentota

After breakfast check out from the hotel and proceed Bentota. Bentota. Bentota is one of the best beaches in Sri Lanka and is known for the romantic settings carved by both the river and ocean. This beautiful setting is utter bliss and will leave you with many memories once you return to your homeland from your holiday in Sri Lanka. Take a quick dip in the ocean or enjoy some amazing water sports such as jet skiing, surfing, diving or even body boarding. Finally witness the beautiful and enchanting sun as it sets and creates the most beautiful view evening. In Kosgoda, you will visit the turtle hatchery which is operated by the Wild Life Protection Society in Sri Lanka. Several turtle species are protected at this hatchery, one of the main and most important ones being the hawksbill turtle. Their eggs are said to be left uncovered, scattered all over the coast, unprotected from harm’s way, and fishermen bring them into the hatchery in order to save and protect them. The hatchery has been able to release over 100 baby turtles into the sea in the last 2 years since they opened. Day 11: Bentota / Colombo

After breakfast proceed to Colombo and take the city tour. Colombo. Colombo is a busy and vibrant city with a mixture of modern life and remnants of a old colonial era. Due to its large harbor and its strategic position along the East-West sea trade routes, Colombo was known to ancient traders 2,000 years ago. It became capital of Sri Lanka when Sri Lanka became part British Empire in 1815.
