Day 1: Colombo / Chilaw

Upon arrival at Colombo International Airport you will be met and transferred north to your beach front resort, in the charming coastal of town of Chilaw. Spend the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 2: Chilaw / Anuradhapura

Highlights of the day: jeep safari in Wilpattu,afternoon explore Anuradhapura Eraly morning continue your journey north to Anuradhapura. Stopping en route for a jeep safari in Wilpattu. Sri Lanka's largest national park. The park is home to up to 50 elephants and more than 50 leopards, as well as spotted deer, sloth, bears, wild pigs and more. Check in to the hotel. This afternoon explore Anuradhapura, the first capital and grandest city of ancient Sri Lanka, home to two UNESCO World Heritage Sites. A sightseeing tour of the city, takes in both historical and archaeological sites of interest. Highlights include the sacred bo-tree - the oldest documented tree in the world, the 1600 columns of Brazen Palace and Ruwanweliseya - the most famous dagobas in Sri Lanka. Day 3: Anuradhapura / Jaffna

Highlights of the day: Train Tour to jaffna,visit Keerimalai Hot springs and Jaffna Market Transfer to Anuradhapura railway station for a train journey to Jaffna, located on the northern most peninsula of the island. During the three hour journey sit back and relax and enjoy the lush scenery. As the train gets closer to Jaffna you can enjoy the views of the shallow lagoons and salt pans. Upon arrival at Jaffna Railway Station you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Check in t the hotel. Evening visit Keerimalai Hot springs and Jaffna Market. The Keerimalai Hot Spring is a natural spring located in the Keerimalai area of Jaffna. The source of the water is an underground fresh water spring in Tellipallai, Maviddapuram. The spring is considered as a holy pond, with many Hindu and other devotees patronizing it seeking miraculous healing, remedy for impotency, and physical wellbeing. Filled with colourful souvenirs that you would be hard pressed to find elsewhere on our island, the Jaffna Market is a fascinating world of northern Sri Lankan goods and produce. Beyond the endless selection of ornaments and clothes, an open-air portion of the Jaffna Market features fruits and vegetables alongside other edible specialties of the region. Day 4: Jaffna

Highlights of the day: Jaffna sightseeing, Evening rest and relaxation. After the Breakfast Jaffna sightseeing After two decades of isolation, the remote and vibrant city of Jaffna is now open to visitors. After breakfast enjoy a sightseeing tour of Jaffna, taking in sights such as the star shaped Jaffna Fort, the second largest in Sri Lanka, built by the Dutch in 1619, and the huge Nallur Hindu Temple, which is one of the most important places of Hindu worship in Sri Lanka. Another highlight is Nagadeepa Buddhist Temple, which is said to be the site where Buddha came during his second visit to Sri Lanka. Return to the hotel. Evening rest and relaxation. Day 5: Jaffna / Trincomalee

Highlights of the day: sightseeing tour Leaving Jaffna and travel south to Trincomalee on the northeastern coast. Overlooking the beautiful Kottiyar Bay, the historic city of Trincomalee is one of the main centres of the Tamil speaking culture. Upon arrival check in to your hotel After the lunch sightseeing tour that takes in Thirukonamalai Konesar Temple, the Temple of the Thousand Pillars and Dakshina-Then Kailasam - a classical medieval Hindu temple complex. The rest of the evening is free for some R&R on the beach. Dinner and Overnightstay in Trincomalee.

Day 6: Trincomalee

Highlights of the day: Whales watching tour,visit pigeon island national park Early in the morning take Whales watching tour. To see a Blue Whale in its natural habitat is something most of us can only dream of. To see more than one in a lifetime would be very rare experience reserved for a fortunate lot. Whale watching is one of the most popular things to do while in the east of Sri Lanka.you can observe the friendly Spinner Dolphins in their hundreds as they play, dance and show off their acrobatic skills. just a short boat ride away from the coast the sea drops to a depth of close to 1,000m. Having such incredibly deep waters so close to shore provides the perfect habitat for whales, who require deep water to live in but enjoy the benefit of being close to nutrients flowing closer to shore. After the lunch visit pigeon island national park Floating in the great blue 1km offshore, Pigeon Island, with its powdery white sands and glittering coral gardens, tantalizes with possibilities. A nesting area for rock pigeons, the island is beautiful enough, with rock pools and paths running through thickets, but it’s the underwater landscape that’s the real star. The reef here is shallow, making snorkeling almost as satisfying as diving, and it’s home to dozens of corals, hundreds of reef fish (including black-tip reef sharks) and turtles Return to the Hotel Dinner and overnight accommodation at the hotel.

Day 7: Trincomlaee / Passikudah

Highlights of the day: visit Seruwavila, an ancient Buddhist temple, spend the rest of your time at leisure On day 7 bid farewell to Trincomalee and travel down the east coast to Passekudah, stopping en route to see Seruwavila, an ancient Buddhist temple. The coastal resort of Passekudah is blessed with miles of beautiful, white sandy beach, a shallow coastline and crystal clear waters. After hotel check in, spend the rest of your time at leisure, soaking up the sunshine and enjoying one of Sri Lanka's finest beaches. Dinner and Overnight stay in Passekudah

Day 8: Pasikudah

Highlights of the day:visit Batti Lagoon Park,water sports activities evening rest at the Passikudah Bay. After the breakfast visit Batti Lagoon Park. Pasikudah Bay is a 2km long wide stretch of beach well protected by a shallow off shore reef.Pasikudah has a beautiful curved bay with extremely shallow water. Pasikudah is known to have one of the longest stretches of shallow coastline in the world. It is possible for people walk at least half a kilometer into the sea at certain points because the water is only a few inches deep and the current is relatively weak compared to the rest of Sri Lanka's coastline. Day 9: Passikudah / Sigiriya / Negombo

This morning travel visit to Sigiriya, to visit the famous ‘Lion Rock’ fortress. Built over 1500 years ago, this beautiful citadel stands 200 meters high in the middle of verdant jungle and was an important stronghold of the 70 hectare fortified town. It can be viewed from miles around and is definitely one of Sri Lanka’s most iconic and famous sites. You’ll be able to view the world famous paintings of the Heavenly Maidens which stand in a sheltered pocket of the rock approached by a spiral stairway and climb to the top of the rock for wonderful panoramic views.
