DAY 1
Your Sri Lanka holiday begins with a warm welcome at Bandaranaike International Airport or pick-up from Colombo. From there, you will travel toward Kandy, the island’s cultural capital. If you wish, you can stop at Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage on the way, one of Sri Lanka’s most popular attractions for families and first-time visitors.
As you continue to Kandy, the scenery becomes greener and more peaceful, giving you a lovely first impression of the island. In the evening, visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic and enjoy the calm setting around Kandy Lake. You may also stop at a Spice and Herbal Garden and make an optional visit to a Gem Museum in Kandy before continuing toward the coast.
